The system solves the well-known problem where door speakers and under-seat woofers are linked, limiting both sound quality and performance.
In the standard setup, the small 4” front speakers are forced to reproduce deep bass, creating distortion and unclear sound. At the same time, the woofers have to handle mid-range and treble, which they are not designed for. The result is a flat and imprecise sound experience that doesn't match the car's level.
With ZDAP-BMW2, the signal paths to the front speakers, under-seat woofers, and rear speakers are separated, making the entire system fully active. The powerful ZDA6.8 Class A/B DSP amplifier (2 x 70W + 4 x 30W RMS) ensures that each speaker operates optimally within its frequency range. This results in significantly less distortion, better dynamics, and a more precise, balanced sound.
The built-in DSP provides full control with a 31-band parametric equalizer, advanced filter types, and time alignment. OEM Impedance Simulation (OIS) ensures perfect integration with the car's original head unit, while Input Priority preserves all system sounds and functions. Installation requires no modifications – simply connect, adjust, and experience a significant upgrade to the entire sound system.
