What is KN Typhoon®?
The KN Typhoon® air intake system is built for High Performance. The Typhoon® air intake system consists of a specially adapted aluminum intake pipe – designed to fit most high-performance vehicles and muscle cars. Each kit has been dyno-proven to increase horsepower and torque. Typhoon® air intake systems come in one of three designs; cold air intake (CA), short ram intake (SR), or complete cold air intake (CCA), which can be configured as either a cold air intake or a short ram intake. All KN air intake systems come with an oversized High-Flow conical air filter designed to provide increased surface area and dust capacity. This extra surface area provides even better airflow than with a standard KN panel filter, which is limited to the size of the factory air filter box. In addition to giving the car higher performance, in most cases it will also give the car a distinctive roar from the intake during acceleration for a much sportier driving experience.
