In this guide, we give you a quick overview of the steps and sequence you need to follow to get your car's paint shining again!
The guide gives you a brief description of each step and can be used as a reminder.
For more detailed guides of the individual steps, you can find more on this page.

Our recommendations are not requirements to be able to wash your car, with this guide.

Part 1: Wash

We divide a washing process into two parts, respectively. contact-free washing and contact washing.

We do this because it is important to remove as much dirt from the paint as possible before touching the paint, so that you don't just push dirt around and create the classic washing scratches.

Contactless washing:

Step 1, Degreasing.
We recommend: Turtle Wax Extreme Prewash-T

The basic cleaning is done with a degreaser. This is sprayed on a dry car and is intended to remove tar, asphalt, salt, soda and pigment dirt.
Then rinse thoroughly with water.

Step 2, Remove rust (optional or as needed)
We recommend: Turtle Wax Iron-Off

This step is optional, but recommended if the paint has, among other things, ingrained rust and other dust particles.
Iron-Off chemically removes brake dust and other small metal particles without damaging the paint.
The product is sprayed on in an even layer and left to work according to instructions.
Then rinse thoroughly with water.

Step 3, Insect remover.
We recommend: Turtle Wax Insect Remover

An insect repellent is often used during the summer months when there are insects.
The agent is sprayed on and must be allowed to work according to the product's instructions.
Then rinse it off and you have effectively and gently removed insects from the car's paint and surface.

Contact washing:

Step 4, Car wash.
We recommend: Turtle Wax MAX Power Care Shampoo

After degreasing, the car must be washed thoroughly with a car shampoo.
There are many car shampoos on the market, some better than others, but we recommend that you try them out and find out what you like best.
Our recommended product can be mixed with water in a wash bucket or applied to the paintwork with a foam lance and scrubbed with a microfiber wash mitt.

Step 5, Clay bar.
We recommend: Turtle Wax Turbo Clay, Claybar

With clay bar you remove the rough unevenness before polishing. Clay bar is used wet-on-wet. If necessary, spray on with Hybrid Solution Shampoo or Hybrid Solution 3-in-1 detailer.
You can also use a regular soapy water mixture.

Part 2: Polishing

Step 1, Polishing/chemical varnish cleaning.

Use a polishing machine to remove scratches.
Use Wax applicator for chemical varnish cleaning.
Renew Car Polish effectively removes scratches and restores the shine of worn paint.

Step 2, Wax.

Apply a thin layer of Turtle Wax Hard Shell Finish Wax with a Wax Applicator, let dry for 3-5 minutes and then wipe with a microfiber cloth.
Then let it harden for 24 hours.

Step 3, Polishing/Cleaning of varnish and wax.

Here you can polish and wax with a product like Turtle Wax Ceramic Polish & Wash, which provides incredible clarity, shine and, not least, protection of the paint.
Use a polishing machine to remove scratches.
Use the Wax Applicator for manual application and wipe with a microfiber cloth.

Then let it harden for 24 hours.

Part 3: Finished

That was it.

Sit back and enjoy the newly polished sled.
