The K&N 69-5304TS Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube induction system, designed to fit certain Hyundai Veloster models.
The restrictive factory-fitted air filter and air cleaner system is replaced by a K&N Typhoon air intake, which is designed to dramatically reduce airflow restriction as it smooths and straightens the airflow. This allows the engine to inhale a larger amount of air than with the factory air intake. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine's RPM range.
The 69-5304TS air intake comes with a black rubber-topped K&N high-flow air filter and heat shield, which installs in the original air filter box's fresh air intake location.
Air is directed through the intake tube to the engine's throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The tube has an attractive silver powder-coat finish that is made to last and accommodates the factory-fitted ventilation hoses.
The oversized, conical air filter can be used for up to 160,000 km before servicing is required, depending on driving conditions and style.
The air intake is relatively easy to install, usually in under 90 minutes, if you use the existing mounting points. The necessary tools are screwdrivers, pliers, a ratchet set, and some wrenches.
